I have always been drawn to the selective lighting style incorporated in old renaissance/Dutch master paintings. This is another attempt at recreating that style in photo form. There isn't one particular painting I used as a reference. This is more of a mash-up or aggregate of various popular still life paintings...with a Louisianan twist.
I am a Louisiana-based photographer working hard to make a name in the photography world, as someone who creates great images- whether they be thought-provoking or whimsical. This whimsy or eccentricity allows me to be free when shooting, never placing myself in a particular box. If something/someone catches my eye, I try to capture that moment.
